This plan is a three-week sequence, aimed at Year 2. In this unit, children will explore the events of the Great Fire of London through discussion, drama, role play and Book Talk. Using embedded grammar foci, they will explore expanded noun phrases, conjunctions, past tense and questions and, by the end of the sequence, be ready to write their own newspaper report.
