Overview: this plan is a 3- week+ sequence, aimed at Year 1. In the unit, children will explore the themes of ambition, curiosity and wonder in the context of space whilst learning about the importance of looking up and appreciating shared experiences in the natural world rather than looking down and being distracted by technology. Children will also learn facts about space. By the end, they will write an alternative ending where a new character has a special “look up” moment with others.
