Description This poetry unit for Y1 and Y2 (suitable for mixed-age classes including Foundation Stage or Y3) focuses on seasons - but could be adapted for other subjects. It's structured in five flexible phases: listen, read, perform and share; use senses; play with words and similes; think and write like a poet; and celebrate. Teachers can adjust time spent on each phase as needed.
