Greater Depth Writing at KS2

This Greater Depth Writing at KS2 session will allow attendees to review their current provision for greater depth writers and moderate greater depth writing samples from their school against the 2018 KS2 teacher assessment framework for writing.

COURSE PROGRAMME

• Using the KS2 teacher assessment framework for writing
• Assessing writing at KS2
• Achieving the greater depth standards
• The national writing exemplification for KS2

Please have available writing samples for two children from your class who you expect to be working at greater depth (GDS) by June 2026. If possible, the writing samples should include:

• Narrative
• Non-narrative
• Recount
• Review and next steps
